Then Covid-19 meant all our other events have been sadly cancelled or postponed. But that hasn't stopped us completing virtual challenges each week, then as soon as we were allowed we began meeting in smaller groups and now with our Covid-19 secure procedures in place, we continue to meet weekly to stay fit and healthy but most of all - happy! Please check our Covid page for all the information about how we can continue to meet up with our amazing MotR friends!

2019 Review!

2019 started with a massive bang, as 12 of us took on the Barcelona Half marathon! For less than £150 each, we got three nights away in the beautiful city of Barcelona, entry to the half marathon and a bed in a decent hostel right in the middle of the city! Nearly everyone achieved a PB on the half and the run was so amazing, totally flat and really well organised! It was also Coach Sarah's birthday on the day, so a huge celebration was in order afterwards and everyone had such a brilliant time, team building at its best! This year will see us take on the Malaga Half, in its 30th year and in the year 2020... we are so excited and training will start in earnest in January!

As well as the Barcelona Half Marathon on Coach Sarah's birthday, we have also had teams entered into The Dragons Lair, a 10km cross country in the National Forest, the Knowle Fun Run,  the epic challenge of the Edinburgh Marathon (yes, the whole 26.2 miles) and there were many park runs, many other local events and some fabulously fun nights out!

We had bespoke medal events, a halloween themed medal which encouraged member to keep up with their running over the October half term period, as well as a fancy Christmas medal complete with a ruby red gem for Rudolphs nose, for completing a minimum 5km run between Christmas and New Year!
